Someday, duplex

She’s the one

In her new swimsuit in her moms house

Body newer than she feels

In front of the mirror in front of me

Soft skin hilling over bones I’ve known

Since we were young

Since when she watched me spin spin spin in the gym

Then dizzy myself up

And claim vomit to the adults

And she said

I’m wondering if you’re lying about throwing up

It’s ok I’ve done that too

I was appalled that she revealed me

And with such love

How brave and how rude!

(It’s ok to want attention)
